Trainer/Coach Services Disclaimer

As part of our comprehensive program, you have access to fitness and nutrition coaching. It is important to clarify the scope and limitations of these services:

1. Not Medical Professionals (unless stated): The personal trainers and wellness coaches provided through our service are qualified in their respective fields of fitness or nutrition, but they are not medical doctors. They cannot diagnose health conditions or prescribe medications. Their advice is not a medical advice. Any dietary or workout suggestions are general recommendations aimed at healthy individuals or as per the parameters given by our medical team. If you have specific medical dietary needs (for example, a clinical condition like kidney disease requiring a special diet), you should follow the specialized advice of a doctor or dietitian for that condition in conjunction with our program or inform our team so adjustments can be made.

2. General Guidance Only: The workout plans, exercise routines, and nutritional guidance provided are tailored to your profile as much as possible, but they are based on the information you have given and standard health principles. Results from exercise and diet can vary widely. We do not guarantee that following the trainer's plan will achieve a particular fitness level or specific amount of weight loss; these are supportive measures. Always listen to your body's signals during exercise – if you feel faint, dizzy, or unwell, stop immediately and consult a doctor.

3. Risks of Exercise: Engaging in physical exercise carries inherent risk of injury. You have been advised to get medical clearance before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have any pre-existing injuries or health issues. By participating in the training sessions or following the exercise routines, you acknowledge that you accept these risks. Neither PFC nor the personal trainer will be responsible for injuries that occur during exercise sessions that are self-conducted following our plan, provided those exercises were reasonably safe and you followed instructions. (If the trainer is conducting a live session and guides you incorrectly in a way that causes injury, that would be our responsibility; however, generally you are responsible for using good judgment and safe environment for workouts.)

4. Limitations of Remote Coaching: The fitness or nutrition coaching may be delivered via chat, phone, or video sessions. The trainer/coach relies on you to report your activities and any issues accurately. They cannot physically spot you during an exercise or ensure you are using correct form except by observing via video if you provide it. It is important that you pay attention to the technique instructions. If you're unsure about how to perform an exercise, ask the coach for clarification or a demonstration if possible. Use caution especially with exercises that require balance or strength (to avoid falls or strains). Ensure your workout space is safe and free of hazards.

5. Nutrition Advice and Supplements: The nutrition guidance may include meal plans or dietary suggestions to support your weight loss. These are based on general principles of healthy eating and any preferences or restrictions you've communicated. However, they are not meant to treat specific diseases. If you have conditions like diabetes, the doctor's dietary advice or a dietitian's input should be followed primarily. Any recipes or food suggestions are to be taken as suggestions – you should avoid foods you are allergic to or that you know don't suit you. If the program suggests any supplements (like protein shakes, multivitamins, etc.), those are optional and typically considered safe. We ensure any supplement we provide or recommend is legally approved (for instance, complying with FSSAI regulations in India). Even so, use them according to instructions. If you experience any side effect from a supplement, stop it and inform the coach or a doctor.

6. No Warranty of Outcomes: We cannot and do not guarantee that you will achieve a specific fitness milestone or nutritional status by following the coach's plan. The coach can provide you with tools and encouragement, but the effort and consistency must come from you. Your results will depend on many factors including your starting point, commitment, genetic factors, etc. Thus, any statements about potential outcomes are estimates or goals, not promises.

7. Communication: You are encouraged to maintain open communication with your trainer/coach. Let them know if an exercise is too difficult, if you experience pain, or if a suggested meal plan is not tolerable or practical for you. They can adjust the program accordingly. Also, inform them and/or the medical team if you have any significant change in health (like an injury or a new diagnosis) so that they can modify your plan with those considerations in mind.

8. Liability for Coaching Services: By using the coaching services, you agree that PFC and its coaches will not be held liable for any injuries, health issues, or damages that result from following the coaching advice, except where it is due to our negligence or failure to meet due care. For instance, if a coach with knowledge of your knee problem still pushed you to do a high-impact exercise and you got injured, that could be negligence. But if you did an exercise incorrectly contrary to instructions, or failed to disclose a limitation, that injury would be on you. Always follow instructions carefully and ask questions if unclear. Use common sense: if something feels dangerous or unsuitable, pause and discuss it with the coach.

9. Scope of Practice: The coaches' role is to motivate and guide lifestyle aspects (exercise and diet). They are not authorized to alter your medication plan or give medical opinions. If you ask them a medical question, they will defer to the doctor. Similarly, any mental health concerns that arise will be referred to appropriate professionals; the coaches can encourage and listen, but they are not therapists.

By acknowledging this Trainer/Coach Services Disclaimer, you confirm that you understand the role and limits of the personal training and nutrition advice provided to you. You will use these services prudently and at your own risk. You release the coaches and PFC from liability for any adverse outcome stemming from the normal use of these services, as described above, and you commit to communicating and using the advice responsibly.
